Homeowners Jerry and Julie G. tell their story
After 13 years in the same neighborhood, you make a lot of friends. Really good friends. So when our kids moved out and our space needs changed, we decided to remodel instead of moving to a new neighborhood.
What we were looking for was simple—office space. And we each wanted our own. The problem was we only had a three bedroom house. If we used two of the three bedrooms for offices, there would be no place for guests to stay. We knew we needed some help.
We heard about Kleinco because of some projects they completed around town, so we decided to give Ken a call. From our very first meeting, we knew we had made the right choice.
Ken spent considerable time with us upfront to see how we lived and worked in our home. That way he had a better understanding of how we could utilize the space. He also brought in other craftsmen to get a range of ideas so we could get the most bang for our buck. He even met weekly with us as the project progressed to make sure we were happy with the work being done on our home.
Ken and his group converted both extra bedrooms into offices, vaulting the ceiling in one for a much more open feel. We liked it so much, we had them vault the ceiling in our master bedroom as well. Then they converted our attic into two beautiful bedrooms with a full bathroom. The perfect private area for guests. They even added a variety of closets for storage which ended up being easier to access than the original attic space.
During the course of working on the project, we added a few side jobs. Including some work in the dining room, refinishing the wood floors throughout, and adding shelves and storage in the laundry area. We also both love gardening, so Ken and his group added a garden room off of one office. Now we have our own little oasis when we need to escape.
There are many impressive things about Kleinco. The work crews always arrived on-time and worked diligently throughout the day. They also did a great job of not disrupting our normal routine. They even went as far as to create doorways from the outside on both sides of the house, so they wouldn’t track dirt and mud throughout the entire home.
The bottom line is, they are very trustworthy people and very good craftsmen who pay close attention to the small details in every aspect of the job. Because of that, we have the house we always wanted. And Kleinco has another very happy customer.
